Williams Lake Hike Taos Ski Valley
Williams Lake is a great day hike for anyone looking to take in some exceptional high alpine lake scenery. Located at the base of the Taos Ski Valley. It’s a 4 mile round trip out and back hike with some decent grades in the middle. The main attraction of this hike is the spectacular high alpine lake surrounded with 360 views of mountain tops. We took on this day hike on June 13, 2017. According to the locals they had a heavy snowfall in early May which left us doing about 2/3 of the hike over and around snow making this hike far more difficult for us than it would be without the snow. The dogs had a blast stomping through it, and keeping cool all the way Towards the base of the hike there are two rushing creeks that merge toward the bottom.
