Jeff Busby Park Hiking – Natchez Trace, Mississippi

Jeff Busby Park is located at mile marker 193.1 right off of the Natchez Trace Highway.  The park is a small spot right off the Highway designed mostly for RV camping.  They do offer fire pits, picnic tables, and trash cans at the all the campsites.  While it is mostly for RV’s I camped in my tent next to a fire pit for the night.

The hiking trail starts near the bathroom facility in the “Camping Area” of the park.  The trails is very mellow and a great stop along the road to get and stretch your legs.  The entire hike is a 1 mile long out and back (2 miles total).

A few miles North of the Park on the Natchez Trail in a Historical Marker for Indian Mounds.  There was not a lot of information at the location, but there are several of these mounds along the Natchez Trail dating back 2000 years old.
